Location recce
Location recces are used when scouting out an area to film in, they contain several elements to fill in including: first impressions, photos of the location, dimensions, lighting, safety and restrictions.
Before we did our location recce for the scene recreation, we had a task where we had to go to a random place in the college and do a recce on that. Me and the group I was in went to the library.
We thought that the room was good for filming as it was quiet, with the only concern being the noise of filming could distract people in the room working. For dimensions we thought that the room was big enough however there was several tables and chairs that could get in the way. For safety there was the obvious factor that books could be accidentally knocked off the shelves and the trip hazards of the chairs. The lighting in the library was good as there was natural light from the windows and several lights on the ceilings. Restrictions include getting permission to film, change the lighting and from anyone in the library.
